An Unequal Foundation: Youth homelessness in Australia
An Unequal Foundation draws on findings from Mission Australia's Youth Survey 2025 to examine the experiences of young people who have faced homelessness or housing instability.
The report found these young people were more likely than their peers to report financial hardship, poorer mental health and wellbeing, weaker support networks, and disruptions to education and employment. Despite these challenges, many remained connected to study, work and their communities and continued to look positively towards the future.
